Traffic of a Different Sort!
“100 Mules Walking the Los Angeles Aqueduct.” started Friday, 10/18 in Inyo County. 100 mules and 10-15 wranglers and riders walked the length of the Los Angeles Aqueduct from the Owens Valley to Griffith Park, Los Angeles. That’s about 240 miles over 25 days. TMI was there to manage the traffic in the small town of Lone Pine and again through the San Fernando Valley to the final destination of Griffith Park. The event marked the 100-year anniversary of the completion of the L.A.aqueduct which started transporting water from the Owens Valley to Los Angeles in Nov. 1913.
