Traffic Management, Inc. Expands Executive Team

LONG BEACH, Calif. – April 14, 2015 – Traffic Management, Inc., a leading provider of traffic control products and services for both the public and private sectors throughout California, announces the hiring of Renee Hernandez, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In her new position at Traffic Management, Inc. (TMI), Hernandez will serve as a key member of the executive team, leading the sales and marketing efforts across the company’s offices in California and Michigan. Hernandez brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, primarily within the ready-mixed concrete and aggregate businesses.

Prior to joining TMI, Hernandez held executive positions with Lehigh Hanson and Aegion Companies. She also consulted for various companies, helping implement marketing strategies and develop leaders. Hernandez’s responsibilities at TMI will include leading the company’s brand marketing, sales and marketing planning, and individual sales teams. “Renee brings an impressive skillset, and her background in the construction industry will be a key part of our continued growth efforts for Traffic Management,” said Chris Spano, Partner, Chief Executive Officer of TMI. “Renee has already started putting her great ideas into action, and we’re thrilled to have her on board.” During her career, Hernandez has served in director chairperson roles on several industry committees, including the National Ready Mix Concrete Association, the National Association of Women in Construction and the Engineering Contractor Association, among others. She is a trained facilitator, offering insight into change management, leading teams and Six Sigma. In addition, Hernandez has taught selling and leadership skills at industry seminars and association events, and enjoys mentoring young leaders in the construction industry. Hernandez earned her bachelor of science degree in management from Pepperdine University, her master’s degree in organizational leadership from Chapman University and her MBA from Webster University.

In her spare time, she volunteers as a yoga teacher, specializing in classes for business executives. “I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the TMI team at a time where the company is experiencing unprecedented growth,” said Renee Hernandez, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at TMI. “The company attracted me because of their passion for service, innovation and safety in traffic management.
